Mapi nasce come nascono tutte le cose belle, un po’ per caso, da una
chiacchierata sotto le lenzuola, dalle prime parole della mia bimba che,
fondendo i nomi di “mamma” e “papà” chiamava così il nostro lettone.
Mapi, che peraltro racchiude le iniziali di Margherita Picardi, nasce nel 2016:
gioielli ogni volta diversi e unici perché plasmati non solo dai miei sogni, ma soprattutto da quelli dei miei committenti.
Non c’è ispirazione più preziosa dei desideri né emozione più grande di riuscire a realizzarli con una materia come l’oro, da sempre al centro di scambi tra popoli e culture.
Per questo Mapi Jewelry - più che un brand - è una promessa, una scelta, un modo di essere.
Mapi was born as all beautiful things are born; by a series of colliding moments; chance and coincidence. It began partially with a chat in bed with my husband, and partially from the first words of my baby who, merging the Italian for "Mum" and "dad", called us “Mapi”. Mapi, which is also the first two initials of my name Margherita Picardi, seemed a perfect fit.
Started in 2016, Mapi produces Jewellery which is utterly unique every time, because they are shaped not only by my ideas, but above all by those of my clients.
There is no more precious inspiration than being able to make client’s visions come true, particularly with a material like gold: ancient and malleable and at the center of exchanges between peoples and cultures for millennia.
This is why Mapi Jewelry - more than a brand - is a promise, a choice, a way of being.
